Walking With a Heavy Heart

A few years back my husband (Jim) and I went to Dallas, Tx to a pastors convention I don't remember who the speaker was but I do remember he spoke about our cluttered lives. He keep our attaintion, very one there was glued to his every word. Then we took a break ... as we drank coffee and ate donuts ... the heaviness settled over us, everyone was feeling it but they all were teasing and laughing as we discussed how cluttered our lives were. But as we laughed Jim and I were very anxious to find out how to unclutter our life.

When the seminar continued, the speaker never got to a point and we left the seminar knowing for certain we had a cluttered life, but not knowing how to unclutter it.

He had explained how people mess up their lives, mess up their work , and we keep clutter all around them by hanging with the wrong people, reading the wrong things, etc. That our minds get tossed to and fro by doctrines and winds of doctrines.

So altho we enjoyed the seminar the heaviness stayed. We prayed and ask the Lord to show us how to unclutter.
Psalm 119:165 tells us that those who love God’s law have great peace and they do not live offended lives. Offense is clutter.
In this one verse we are given a formula for a peaceful, un-offended lifestyle. When you walk in peace you can easily deal with clutter. How do you walk in peace? You must fall in love with God's law.
You must spend time in God's Word. You must know that God's Word is true and that His Word is a benefit and not a curse and you must prove this through your willing acts of obedience to all His commands. peaceful living will be yours.

"Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them" (Psalm 119:165).
